Marine Cpl. Cory L. Palmer of Seaford, Delaware died of injuries sustained in Iraq on May 6, 2006. He was wounded when his Humvee was hit by an explosive near Fallujah on May 1, according to his local newspaper, the (Wilmington) News Journal. Cory was 21 and serving in his second tour in Iraq.

Cory played varsity soccer for his senior year in high school, and was remembered as a “fun, loving guy”.
