On August 20th, 2011 runners will join the Fort Hamilton Survivor Outreach Services Program to run in memory of those who have paid the ultimate sacrifice. All participants will have the ability to write the name of a Fallen Service Member of their choice on their runners bib.

Registration begins at 7am and will be held on the park grounds. Pre-registration and day of registration tables will be marked accordingly. The run begins promptly at 9am.

Participants will be escorted from the park grounds across the street to Shore Road Promenade where the run will begin. Once instructed to begin, participants will run on along this flat surface for 2 miles, turn around at the end (Owl’s Head Pier), and run in the opposite direction to the starting point for the final 2 miles. Water stations will be posted every mile along as will medics to ensure everyone’s safety. Once the run is completed, participants will carefully return to Fort Hamilton Park for participant shirts, bagels, and refreshments.
