  1. (sigh)…we are just over 10 days away from the beginning of this journey. Schools and youth groups from around the country, from Hawaii to Rhode Island, have created and posted name cards for each fallen soldier. The thousands of cards sit in my home, ready to meet the country roads of these United States when they are to be placed with a flag after each mile we run. My heart felt thanks to each of the educators and students who participated to make this run a personal run. Thank you for getting know the people…not the numbers.

  2. Leigh Fitzgerald says:

The entire Maui Prep o’hana sends high fives, hugs and support to the runners and families involved with The Run For The Fallen. If we are not there to cheer you on in person, please know that each of us is with you in spirit. With Warmest Aloha,
The students, staff, adminstration and familes of Maui Prep

  3. Linda Darland says:

The citizens of the McMullen Valley area of Arizona (Salome, Wenden, Harcuvar, Hope) are planning a ceremony for August 24th, to redistribute the US Flags you put up on Highway 60. Unfortunately, the Arizona Dept. of Transportation had taken them down. We have gotten the flags back from them and will display them on businesses, private property, etc. This project was too important for us not to keep the soldiers memories alive. Thank you!!
