July 23: Cpl. Nyle Yates III
Our first mile (mile 2317) of day 39 began with a ceremony for Cpl. Nyle Yates III. Many of his family members joined us in reading the 58 names of the service members we were running for that day as well as placing his flag for the beginning of the run. We were greeted with light from above for the special moment.

Really wish I had know they were coming throught Richland, Missouri. I would have had all our flags out at the Veterans Memorial. At least the Memorial is right next to one of the flags they placed. It just looks so nice with all 50 flags on display, as well as the branches of the service flags. I am so glad they are bringing notice to those they have fallen. May God be with them all.
