July 22: Lamar, MO

The run from Parsons, KS to Lamar, MO ended with a wonderful greeting by the Crutcher Family. They invited us into their home for a night to rest our legs, enjoyed a home cooked meal (and breakfast!), and listen to wonderful music from Sydney Crutcher. Below is the Crutcher Family American flag on the side of their garage. Crutcher Family flag

What a great time our family had hosting these young people on a great mission recognizing the fallen soldiers.
The small town of Arcola Mo population 45 was excited and proud to have the team run thru town. At Arcola Christian church last Sunday it was all anyone could talk about. Now everytime I drive from Lamar to Arcola I am vividly reminded of our soldiers sacrafice. I hope as the run progresses eastward more attention will pick up. PRAY for the runners for the journey is a long one.

We met up with this special team of young dedicated people just inside the Missouri state line. We drove about 2 1/2 hours to be present for Adam Zanutto’s mile. It was an honor and priviledge to be able to place Adams flag at his mile marker and then to bring it home with me. I sent it to his parents, our dear friends in California, Rick and Donna Zanutto, along with all the pictures we took that day. Adam has a very special place in our hearts and is a true hero to us all. What a great bunch of people we met, and a wonderful memorable day for us. Thanks to all the members of Run for the Fallen.
