Long Beach, CA – August 14 and 21, 2011

This year, I, Salina Jimenez (Gold Star Wife) along w/a group of Runners/Joggers & Walkers, will gather to collect mileage for our Hereos on welcoming beach run/jog/run. Our gathering will take place on the Bike/Runners path in Long Beach, CA @ 830am on Sunday the 14th and the 21st of August. We will be meeting on the beach of the bike/runner’s path under a flagged canopy near the restrooms located on Claremont & East Ocean Blvd. I will provide RFTF Runner’s Bib’s as I have in prior years. The route consists of a 2mile, 5k, 10k and 15k so all runners/walkers can casually do as many miles as they please. This is not an event consisting of timing chips and or festivities other then a few good runners/joggers meeting up to collect mileage for our Heroes. If there are any questions please email me.

I myself will be running in Honor of Mikey and my Husband, Sgt. David J. Almazan, US Army, KIA 27 Aug 2006. Some of our confirmed runners/walkers attending, are as well Gold Star Families. Both days; August 14th and the 21st, I will be out there on the path. I look forward to anyone who can join in.

*Note: For those who want to Google an address for meeting up: 5369 Ocean Blvd, Long beach is available. This address is of the Condos directly across the street from the beach where we will be meeting. (Or see the Run for the Fallen event page map). Otherwise please email if interested.
