The 3rd annual Run for the Fallen event at Naval Submarine Base Kings Bay, GA will begin on 14 June 2011 at 0630 in front of the Fitness Center with a 5K run/walk and end 19 August 2011 with another 5K run/walk, which is also set to begin at 0630.
This run coincides with the original Run of 2008 and encourages everyone to donate miles from June to August. This year we hope to donate over 27,691 miles!

Whether you are a friend or family member, please join us for the first annual Run For The Fallen-Idaho on August 20, 2011 as we run and walk to honor every service member with ties to Idaho killed in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
The event will begin at 9:00 am at Veteran’s Park in downtown Bonners Ferry with a service which will include a reading of the names of the fallen, followed by a bell ringing and 21 gun salute. The course will wind through scenic Boundary County, one mile for every hero. We invite all participants to walk the final mile in together. This mile is the survivor mile and is meant to honor all wounded servicemen as well as the Gold Star family members. The event will end at the Boundary County Fairgrounds with a closing ceremony.
